Arnold, Gladys Bursary
Award: $2,200
The recipient will be a full-time student (registered in 15 credit hours) at the University of Regina who will be studying French or in French at an university in France outside Paris. If there are no applicants the bursary will be awarded to a student registered in the French as a Second Language Certificate Program offered by the Institut Francais and the Department of French at the University of Regina. If there are still no applicant, the bursary will be awarded to a student returning from a year of study in France to take her/his Honours year in the French Department at the University of Regina. Selection will take into consideration academic standing (weighted 70%) and financial need (weighted 30%).

This is for a student entering the final year at the School of Journalism, University of Regina. Selection will be based on a combination of financial need and/or knowledge of at least one other language in addition to English. A CGPA of 70% is required based on at least 84 credit hours. The student must demonstrate financial need by providing a 500-word essay citing how the bursary would assist the pursuit of their journalistic career. Minimum of 12 credit hours required.

Member of a University of Regina Cougar/Ram athletic team who appears on the (Canadian Interuniversity Sport) CIS team eligibility roster in the CIS academic year the award is presented and appear for the entire playing season. Academically eligible to compete in CIS competition as verified by the Registrar's Office. Registered in at least 9 credit hours in each of the semesters in which the award is paid. Student athletes who are eligible for remission of fees for 24 credit hours across two semesters will not have any unused balance deferred or paid out.

Must be a CIS-eligible athlete, as verified by the Registrar's Office, who has been a full-time student for at least 2 semesters in a CIS academic year at the member institution providing the award. The award will be made to a student entering the 3rd year in the Faculty of Engineering, with a major in Software Systems Engineering. The successful applicant must have a minimum CGPA of 75% and must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 credit hours. The award will be renewed for a second year provided the student maintains a minimum CGPA of 75% in third year of studies, and continues to register in a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester. If the award is renewed there will be no new recipient selected in that year.
