This merit based program encourages top ranked high school seniors to attend college. To be eligible applicants must be a Missouri resident and a United States citizen or permanent resident; have a composite score on the ACT or SAT in either: the top 3 percent of all Missouri students, or the top 4th or 5th percentiles of all Missouri. Applicants must be residents of North Carolina. They must be studying a subject in the field of allied health at an accredited postsecondary institution and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. They must be seeking a first-time certificate, diploma, associate's degree or bachelor's degree. Master's degree holders are ineligible. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to residents of Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin counties. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
