Skills USA Championship

Students who are members of SkillsUSA may compete in local, state, and national championships. The winners of the national championships are awarded the following scholarships. Winners of the Advertising Design, Culinary, Photography, and Web Design championships will be awarded a $20,000 tuition scholarship. Winners of the 3-D Visualization and Animation as well as the Television Production championships will be awarded a $10,000 tuition scholarship. Each Art Institute has a limited number of scholarships. Winners are permitted to choose The Art Institute location of their choice and scholarships will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis.

National Art Honor Society Scholarship
Award: $20,000
Applicants must be a high school senior and a member of the National Art Honor Society. Applicants must submit six slides of six different original pieces of artwork representing your creative ability and interest. Digital files may be submitted in lieu of slides. Applicant must submit a written statement describing their artistic career goals and why they want to be considered for a scholarship. Winners must apply for admission at an Art Institute location and be accepted to validate scholarship.

Passion for Fashion Competition

Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Competition
Award: $30,000
Applicant must be a graduating high school senior with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Entry form, high school transcript, and paragraph stating why he/she would like to be a culinary professional, and identify who inspires them and why required. Notebook with the following required: a menu with descriptions for a two-course meal, including an appetizer, soup or salad, and a main course wit a sauce, garnish, vegetable, and starch. Also include a detailed recipe and directions for each course.

Awarded to individuals, under the age of 25, who are or have been diagnosed with cancer or a critical or life threatening disease in the past five years. Applicant must be pursuing an associate's degree as a bridge to a bachelor's degree or higher. Essay on how diagnosis has impacted their life and their future goals is required.. Copy of an acceptance letter from the college, university, or vocational-technical school applicant is planning to attend, written documentation from treating physician stating medical history, two letters of recommendation from non-related persons, official high school and/or current college transcript, and completed financial form to demonstrate financial need are required to be submitted.

Undergraduate scholarships are available to students who are enrolled in an approved four-year college or university that is either accredited by the Environmental Health Accreditation Council (EHAC) or is a NEHA Educational or Sustaining Member School (EHAC accredited colleges/universities and NEHA Educational and Sustaining Member Schools). The graduate scholarship is available to those students or career professionals who are enrolled in a graduate program at a recognized college or university with a declared curriculum in EH sciences and/or public health. Official application form, official copy of the academic transcript from the school in which the applicant is currently enrolled, two faculty letters of recommendation from the school in which the applicant is currently enrolled, and one letter of recommendation from an active NEHA member are required to be submitted.
