Phyllis Stevenson Grams Memorial Award

Applicants must be currently enrolled college students. The contest is open only to North American students or students enrolled in North American colleges or universities at least through December. Applicants are required to write about growing up a freethinker (atheist or agnostic), or why you reject religion, using a personal (biographical), or philosophical approach, or describing why you choose reason over faith. Experiences in rejecting religion in a religious society may be included. Essay should be 4-5 typed, double-spaced pages with standard margins. Applicant must choose his/her own title and must also include a paragraph biography identifying the college or university he/she is currently attending, year in school, major and interests.
