Constitutional Academy

Award: $2,000

Applicant must be a high school sophomore, junior, or senior who loves history, the Constitution, politics, and economics. Program allows students to experience the Constitution through visits to historical sites, discussions with scholars and policy experts, information about colleges and careers specializing in these ideas, and interaction with other students through completion of a culminating project relating to the Constitution. The program is held each July in the Washington, DC area.

Haiku Scholarship

Applicant must be a current high school senior or college student. High school applicants must have taken the SAT Reasoning or ACT test and be graduating or earning a GED between August 1 and November 31; thus, enrolling in the spring as a freshman at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. College applicants must be full-time students at an accredited two- or four-year college or university. Haiku about cable TV is required.

Applicant must be a Utah resident who is a current high school senior planning to enter an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student. Applicant must have proof of strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism addressing such issues as equality, racial justice, free speech, religious freedom, tolerance, and privacy.
