Applicant must be the dependent child or unremarried spouse of a Florida veteran who died as a result of service-connected injuries, diseases, or disabilities sustained while on active duty or who have been certified by the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs as having service-connected 100% permanent and total disabilities. The veteran must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen who was a Florida resident for one year immediately preceding time of death and who died as a result of a service-connected disability sustained while on active duty.
