Applicant must be a black U.S. citizen or permanent resident and plan to stay in the U.S. after graduation. Selection is based upon academic achievement, essay, recommendations, and financial need.
Award renewable for up to four years if applicant reapplies and maintains good academic standing and full-time enrollment in a science or engineering curriculum.
