
Anne Ford and Allegra Ford Scholarship
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, enrolled as a senior in high school, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and the intention of pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree. Financial need must be demonstrated; current documentation of an identified learning disability also required. The ideal candidate is a high school senior who has faced the challenges of having a learning disability; is committed to completing a college degree and setting career goals; has demonstrated perseverance; embraces new opportunities; has a well-rounded perspective shaped by experiences in school, in the community, and with family and friends; understands how their learning disability affects his/her life and recognizes the importance of self-advocacy; believes in contributing to society in ways that increase the opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities; and will feel comfortable serving as a role model and spokesperson for others who struggle with learning disabilities.
Award will be payed over four years in $2,500 installments; $10,000 in total.
Renewable if recipient submits class registration annually.
